Hello everyone,

It's been ages since I wrote on my blog, I know. Same thing with listing new beads. I've had a lot to do before and after Christmas and haven't made much beads. By the way, I wish everybody a wonderful New Year! Lots of love, peace and happiness and everything your heart desires. :)

One think that I made a while before Christmas, was a large bunch of etched beads. But I never had the time to list them. Well, here they are. I hope you can find some you like. Here is a picture of the different colors I have listed in my Etsy shop:

Getting really close to Christmas

It's December already! Can you believe it? Are you ready for Christmas yet? Guess what... I'm not... of course. But I am in the mood. :) So let's take a deep breath, feel the crisp air (it's raining today making all our beautiul snow melt away... but I'm not worried, we will get our fair share as usual this winter.) and roll our sleeves to get ready for the celebrations.

For all this month, shipping will be free on all the beads in my Etsy shop. So, buy all you want and you won't have to worry about shipping... at least... :)

Back at last

No I wasn't gone on another planet, I was just a looooong time away from my blog. Although sometimes I felt I was on another planet. I've had a hard time getting back to business and to «normal» life after this summer. Ellie was at home most of the time. I thought I could find time to work while she was here instead of day camp but I couldn't. She hates day camp and it was becoming a nightmare just preparing her to go in the mornings, so I told her we would try for this summer to keep her home while still working on my business. But I couldn't get organized or find 2 full hours to work in the day. As a result business was really slow and I got a bit discouraged.

I think I am getting back in the swing of things now so I will have new beads in the days to come. I did list some nice clearance beads in my Etsy shop so you can go have a look. You could find some pretty beads for a lower price.

Just a little note to tell you that I just listed new beads in the Clearance Beads section of my Etsy shop. Some of them really shouldn't be in the clearance section because they are not imperfect beads, but they couldn't make it in a bigger set. Most of them were orphans or were not quite the right size. I like listing those beads though and pass the savings to you. :) I will have more soon so check back often.

My computer is working finally... but, of course, I lost tons of informations, softwares and emails. :( At least, it works and it's like having a brand-new computer.

Clearance beads

As I told you earlier, my website and computer are down (still), so I decided to list a few sets of clearance beads, once in a while, right here on my blog. So, if you see something you like, tell me so in the comments section below this post, or send me an email at: bleuverre@videotron.ca.

I call these beads «clearance beads» because some are not as perfect as I would like them to be. Some have tiny bubbles in the encasing or the clear raised dots, or the dots are not perfectly placed. Sometimes their only problem is that they are not the same size as the other beads in the set they were destined to be. So they end up in the clearance group in hopes to find somebody to love them as much or maybe even more then their «perfect» counterparts. And yes, they are cheeper. :)

Computer issues

My computer is out, darn. And my web site is out, re-d... I hope this issue won't last too long. I have to use my husband's computer when he's back from work, and when he is not using it. I get to go to bed rather late because of all this.

I manage to list beads in the evenings though, so you can still shop for my beads on Etsy. :) I've listed a lot of pairs and trios in fun colors. If you need them etched, just send me a convo.

The Return of the Etched Beads

No, it's not the title of a horror movie, although working with etching acid brings awful thoughts sometimes. :) I like making those beads and I like the look of etched beads also, so I made a bunch of them and I may make more in the days to come. My etching solution is in its last miles, so the etching was rather light. But I like the effect (the beads still reflect light in tiny flecks). However, if you prefer them to be more velvety, I can plunge them in the infamous liquid a little more. :) Just tell me your preference. Here are a few sets I listed (I also have them in pairs):

Something new

Ellie is feeling better. The antibiotic is doing it's job. Wish we could go without antibiotics, but it seems not. Oh well.

I decided to list some beads in multiples in my Etsy shop. Sometimes you might need many of the same bead, so occasionnaly I will list pairs of beads and indicate how many there are in stock. You can see this at the right of the price. They will be sold by two, so if you need an uneven count, send me a convo or email and I will gladly arrange it so you can have the number you want.

Here are the two pairs that I have in multiple number and a new set of beads that I LOVE. :)

New beads finally

I've been at a halt in my beadmaking again. My daughter Ellie is sick. A winter related thing (well it usually happens in winter,... many times in the course of one in our case). Don't know which virus or bacteria, but it should go away with time or with antibiotics... we will see about that today at the doctor's office. Can't work much with a sick and miserable child in the house needing me day and night. I shouldn't complain though, first of all I'm not the miserable poor darling with fever and a runny nose, but also, we haven't been affected so much this year with all the sinusitis, bronchitis and all the likes. But, the winter is not finished yet, so I have my fingers crossed.

I've managed to finish a set and matching pairs of beads and spacers that I listed on Etsy. And I assembled a few sets of clearance beads that I listed in my specials page, so have a look at them if you want.

Well, for my part, everyone in the family is healthy (thank goodness) and my little Ellie is doing great. We had a big scare with her in the last couple of months when we learned that she couldn't hear at all from her left ear. That was hard enough to take, but the worst part was waiting for the results of tests that would indicate if her right hear would deteriorate or not in the years to come. Turns out her right ear is perfectly normal and she can go on with her life without the fear of going deaf from that ear also. Mama is very relieved.

And Mama is back at the torch, finally. The oxygen concentrator is roaring again (literally... it's quite noisy actually) and I just listed new beads on Etsy. Here is a little look at one set:

Hey, my man has made his first sale! He does photography whenever he can and features and sells them on Red Bubble . He got a degree in photography at the university a long while ago, but finally took another route in information technology and management. After many years of putting photography aside, he came back to his first love, for the pleasure of it and as a way to fulfill his life a little more. He sold 4 calendars today, congratulations Honey! It might be a start to a new, long career for you. :)

My concentrator is woking today. Howcome? I don't know. I didn't do a thing to it. I know that I have to change the filters and that it's an oooold machine. I guess it's a warning that I may have to replace it in the near future. Got to get prepared.

Out of order

Not me, but the oxygen concentrator I use to make beads. :( And it happened the same day I received a big batch of new glass, including some colors I was really eager to have fun with. Grrrr...

And I'm really not out of orders, I have tons of them. Hope I can fix that machine soon.

Playing with color

Sometimes, you just feel like playing with one color. Yesterday, I chose a solid dark sky blue and added just a little raku for details. Here are a few of them that I listed on Etsy today. I wondered a bit about etching them - I'm sure they would have turned out great - but I will let you decide if you want them shiny or satiny. :)

Thanks to everyone who have participated in my great "Cleaning the shop" sale on Etsy. Well, I'm back with new beads and I will list new beads regularly to fill the shop again with goodies. Feel free to empty it as I go, I won't mind. ;)

I'm leaving some of the jewelry in the shop so that it won't look too empty in there, but I'm thinking of starting a new shop for jewelry only. But I also might see if I can place them in a boutique in Quebec. Autumn is a great time for planning projects, and ideas are flowing these days to expand my business a little.

1st day of school

It's been a long time since you have heard from me. I've had my daughter at home a lot this summer during the day and especially the last two weeks, as day camp was over. Boy, do kids keep us occupied. :) But, today is the first day of school, and we are both ecstatic. She gets to take the bus again, start a new year (she loves shool) and see all her friends again. Summer Beads and Autumn Beads

Boy, have we been busy. And we had friends over almost every day. That is what Summer evenings are for actually. :) The house was particularly full on August 3rd since it was my birthday. Don't ask me my age... I'm trying to forget it myself. But I feel great, and if I don't look too closely in the mirror (I don't see too well up close anyway...) I can fool myself into being 10 years younger. ;)

I have a few beads listed on Etsy today. Some Summer beads, because I don't want to go into Autumn too fast, and some Autumn beads, because it's just around the corner. And I will try to list regularly on eBay also. I'm moving some sets from Etsy now (so you might get some of the beads you liked at a lower price) but I will have new sets there in the days to come.

Sand and Sea

I listed new beads on Etsy in one of my favorite color combination. Although I have many favorites, this one makes me think of sand and sea. I'm going to miss my trip to Maine this year. It seems we won't be able to go. My husband is starting a new job, and he probably won't

have a vacation before next year. Maybe we can take a couple of days off and a weekend so we can go anyway for a short stay. I'm working on convincing him. :)

Back from the flood

The jewelry show was nice as usual. Nice place, nice people and beautiful art. I came back with lots of ideads to create new stuff, but not too many sales. It was an outdoor show and it rained,... no it poured, the first 2 days and it was terribly cold for a summer weekend. The third day was gray, withought rain, but the grass was so wet that many visitors passed by almost without stopping, watching their nice shoes getting soaked. :(

I'm just thankful I didn't catch a cold, especially since I had a karate exam a few days after. :)

On the bead front, I have a few nice focals to show you that are on sale in my Etsy shop as well as many small sets of beads.

Jewelry show

July already! I have a jewelry show this weekend in Quebec. I've been working like crazy preparing for it, so that is why you haven't heard from me in a while.

I will close the Etsy shop for 3 days from Friday July 3 through Sunday July 5. So if you are interested in some of the beads I have in my shop right now, you'd better buy them today or you will have to wait until Monday, and there might be less beads to buy since I will be using some of them for my show. ;)

Beautiful day,

It's such a beautiful day today, it's hard to refrain from running after the butterflies outside instead of working inside in the basement. But I really have to be at the torch. I'm really tempted to take all the equipment on the porch and give it a try outside. But I think the wind would blow my flame and would make my beads crack. Oh well... :) If any if my fellow beadmakers have tried it, tell me how it went.

I didn't have access to internet for most of the day yesterday, so there was no post. But three days in four is not bad I think. :)

I want to work on focals in the next few day (as well as my custom orders of course). I have a show coming soon and pendants were my best sellers. I will probably offer many of them to you first in my different shops, so if you want any, I'll make others for myself.

An all week celebration

I decided to extand my 2 years on Etsy celebration sale all week!!! So it will end Sunday June 21 at midnight Eastern time. Look for the details of the sale in yesterday's post.

I'm extending the sale because:

First of all, some of you don't do internet surfing during the weekends, so you couldn't take advantage of the sale. :(
